A Grandfather’s Journey to a New Heartbeat

When Rahmatullah’s grandfather fell ill, his family did everything they could to find him the right care. They first visited several hospitals in Quetta, where they were eventually referred to Karachi for further treatment.

In Karachi, Rahmatullah took his grandfather to multiple medical facilities, hoping to find the care he needed. The search continued until a friend recommended Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN).

At IHHN, the family consulted the doctors, who assessed his condition and advised that he needed a pacemaker. For Rahmatullah and his family, finding the right treatment brought a sense of hope after weeks of uncertainty. The doctor advised that a pacemaker procedure would help alleviate the difficulty his grandfather was facing.

The care extended beyond the medical treatment itself. He was grateful for the cooperation of the staff and the support his family received throughout their time at the hospital.

“The staff is very cooperative and the overall system is excellent. We are deeply grateful to everyone who donates; especially those who donated the pacemaker.”

Rehmatullay thanks IHHN for facilitating his father with the pacemaker and ensuring he had another chance at a healthy future. For a family that travelled from Quetta in search of specialised cardiac care, the support of donors helped bring them closer to the treatment their grandfather needed.
